While taxis do contribute to road usage, they also help reduce the number of individual vehicles on our roads. Through proper collaboration, route planning, and private sector investment further traffic mitigation can be realised.

Our 2035 Vision is to promote increased use of taxis by making the industry more accessible to the middle and upper classes. We believe that this will lead to fewer vehicles on the road, ultimately benefiting the environment.

The Industry Is Not Contributing to the Economy
The taxi industry provides jobs for thousands of drivers, owners, and support staff, generates significant revenue, and supports sectors like vehicle maintenance, insurance, and fuel sales. Through innovative collaborative efforts with the private sector we aim to further boost its contribution in the formal economy.
